Streetcars

We met up with Maury and the two of them waited on the street car platform for the St. Clair street car. Omg watching Marcus board the street car was priceless. So I was waiting in my truck and when the street car took off I was riding next to it. Marcus was yelling at me through the window “Mommy I am on a street car!!!” He was opening and closing the window, and yelling weeeeeeee every time the street car started. It was so sweet watching the other passengers laughing at his cuteness. When we met up with my family for dinner tonight he was full of stories of his 8 minute trip on public transport.

Dirty Feet

In 6 days we have collected 3 huge pails of maple syrup that we are going to boil down tomorrow over a fire.

A quick tale from the Land of Cute. We shlepped out to Atkinson’s maple syrup suppliers in Orillia and while we were there Marcus and i went to use the facilities. For those of you who do not know this, my son loves to have everything from the waist down taken off for a more relaxjng free flowing experience. When he was done and just before I put on his socks he said “Mommy, my feet feel really dirty, will you lick them clean?” Baahhhaaa. Not a chance kid. omg he makes laugh.

Poo Assistance

A tale for you from The Land of Cute. A few days ago Marcus and I were in the washroom together at the library. First, it was my turn. I was not really paying attention to too much and I had such a good giggle when Marcus came over to me and began squeezing my shoulders.

“I am going to help you poo Mommy”

Then, he ripped off a piece of toilet paper for me that was 2 cm square and said

“Here you go Mommy, to help you wipe your cankle”

I was laughing so hard I forgot to even ask him what a cankle was.

I am laughing now while I write this. OMG he is such a funny little man.

Smartphones

Thank you thank you for all of the wonderful Birthday wishes! I have in return a tale from the Land of Cute.

Marcus was on speaker phone with his best friend Lucas. Back and forth they were inviting each other to their respective houses, and the conversation between two 3.5 year olds went something like this.

“Marcus, do you want to come to my house? I have dinosaurs”

“Lucas, do you want to come to my house? I have trains”

They went back and forth giving a very thorough inventory of their toys until we just had to go. When I hung up I put the phone to sleep and screen went black. Marcus very seriously and mysteriously looked at me and back at the darkened screen and he asked me

“Mommy, did Lucas disappear into the darkness of the phone?”

Accidents

More tales from the land of cute. When Marcus has an “accident” and doesn’t make it to the toilet on time. We call it having an accident. So at dinner this past Friday night Bubby said she had an accident in her car.

Marcus looked at her very seriously and with a concerned tone asked her.

“Bubby did you pee in your car?”
