facebook photos A tale from the. So today was a pretty epic day. We woke up early and wished Gary good luck on his citizenship test and interview, which of course he aced. In two months he and I will proudly attend his citizenship ceremony! So, we went out for breakfast to celebrate. Banana pancakes for everyone! While Gary settled into his carb crash, Marcus and I headed down town for a much needed hair cut. Afterwards was probably the best part of the day. We parked the car and took the subway to the Bata Shoe Museum over the Bloor St. Viaduct. When we arried at St. George station we walked out onto the street and Marcus knew exactly where we were. He stopped dead in his tracks turned and looked at me and said “Mommy, the subway is so magical!” The BSM was almost empty and after we had a good look around we were able to take a break on the third floor….floor. We went for a cappacino and a cream puff at Mercurio l’express and then headed back on the subway. While walking back to the car we ran into Sam, and David Aubrey Berger and Robyn Hermolin. Which was so nice to run into old friends. It turns out there is not much a 5 year old likes in the take out section of the Big Carrot. May I recommend the Burger Stomper several doors east? After a great day out we were pooped. Time to go home and play with lego and tales of The Unwanted Adventure of Harold Greenhouse, which I highly recommend. We were sorry not to go skating tonight. Next year. Peter Diane Marriott. We missed you today. B January 10, 2016 Autopost User via Facebook http://ift.tt/1PPJMmv

I love to listen to hm sing. So yesterday I heard a gentle voice start singing “And he played upon a ladle, a ladle, a ladle and he played upon a ladle and hs name was BACON drum!” ‘Why is he named Bacon drum?” I asked “I don’t know. Why is his hair made of Spaghetti?” “I don’t know” I answered. Then he asked “Why are his eyes made of meat balls?” Omg back and forth it went until Marcus concluded that Bacon Drum probably tasted very delicious! I love this kid! facebook photos A tale from the for you. Yesterday Marcus and I were reading a book called “Why Do We Sleep?” It asks all kinds of amazing questions about the body. When it came to questions about the nose, we learned that the nose is helpful in how we taste food. As we eat small particles of food “send messages” to the nose in order to taste the food. Marcus “I know what the messages are saying!” Mommy “Really, what are they saying” Marcus “Oh you know, would you like to come over for a cup of tea? Or lets go over to Lucus’ house.” So funny. facebook photos A tale from the. Yesterday I went to pick up Marcus at Heschel. I said “Hey buddy. Happy New Year. Let’s go down to the Distillery” “Mommy, I want to go on a subway ride” So we did, and a street car too. We ate lunch on a patio and when we were heading back to the truck after our adventure I pulled out a crunchy mini cucumber for him to snack on. It must have been what he had been craving because he turned to me and said ” Mommy you are so magical” And so, in that spirit I want to wish everyone a magical new year!
